The first ‘Motherhood & Identity’ event took place in Vancouver and was one of our largest yet most intimate evenings yet with over 100 guests. Our esteemed speakers talked about the trials and tribulations of motherhood—Myrah Penaloza on the importance of healing from our past matriarchal lineage, Shereen Jupp of ‘Mother Muse Mag’ on her motherhood journey, and the ever-inspiring Saraswathi Vedam on her experiences as a midwife, birth researcher and mother of four daughters. Talented chef Letitia Wan cooked up delicious vegetarian dishes, like a luxuriously simple chickpea salad, and musicians Lily Towers and Larisa Sanders welcomed the guests with their sweet tunes.
