Located inside Amsterdam’s beautiful Collection Canal House, the second ‘Motherhood & Identity’ event saw guest speakers Sophie Ebrard and Rowan Blijd share their personal experiences with matresence and finding meaning and healing after stillbirth, respectively. The 60 attendees were encouraged to ask questions and contribute their own stories, and were served a feast of saffron gnocchi, burnt grapes with burrata, and pavlova, alongside a selection of non-alcoholic drinks and natural wines from female winemakers. It was a reminder of the magic that happens when women—Trans, BIPOC and self-identifying women included—come together around the table to speak on important issues.
